UCF Registration Info Fall 2021

Registration instructions for students from USF or FIU taking courses at UCF in Fall 2021

  1. Information about the courses offered by UCF in Fall 2021 can be found on the TEAm webpage https://www.csit-team.org/offered-courses-fall-2021/.
  2. Select the course that you would like to take and make sure that you have the prerequisites for this course.
  3. Immediately (or as soon as possible), complete and submit the Transient Student Application through Florida Shines https://www.floridashines.org/. Fill and submit the transient student application form by visiting https://www.flvc.org/succeed-in-school/take-a-course-at-another-school. Your application will be processed by your institution and the UCF Registrar Office. Note: DO NOT WAIT too long to submit this application. Each institution can take up to 10 days, on average, to process.
  4. As soon as possible, reserve a seat in the course you are interested in taking via the appropriate Reserve Seat link provided in the TEAm webpage. Reserving a seat will allow the administrators/staff at UCF to help you enroll in the course you selected and communicate with you by email to give specific instructions or get further information. Note: At this point you have only RESERVED a seat for the course. You are NOT registered. See the next step below.
  5. You will be allowed to obtain a UCF Network Identification Number (NID) and Password to enroll through the myUCF portal at http://my.ucf.edu. On first login to myUCF, click the “What is my NID?” link. Follow the instructions to obtain your NID and update your Password. To register for Fall 2021, you must have a UCF NID.
  6. To register at UCF, you must have completed your Transient Student Application and obtained a UCF NID by August 9th, 2021. Doing so allows the university ample time to enter your information as a Transient Student, thereby allowing you to register on the designated registration date.
  7. All transient and non-degree seeking students register at 3:00 PM the Friday before the term begins (August 20, 2021). If you have reserved a seat via the TEAm website and demonstrated you have the prerequisites for the course, the UCF staff will with your UCF NID to help you enroll in the course and/or get you permit to register in the course if you are unable to register or get error message that says, “Prerequisites not met.”
  8. Payment for the course must be made online or submitted to the UCF Cashier’s Office by 5:00 p.m. by the Payment Deadline of Friday, September 3, 2021. Please pay the course fee by this deadline to avoid paying a $100 Late Payment Fee and avoid being dropped from the course.
  9. Financial Aid Offices at USF and FIU are aware of the TEAm courses. Financial aid should work as normal for the selected TEAm courses with the exception that students must pay upfront and get reimbursed later. If you have questions regarding financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid Services office at your home institution.

  10. Fall classes at UCF begin on Monday, August 23, 2021.

If you have questions, please first contact Ashley Duprat at Ashley.Duprat@ucf.edu. Secondly, if needed, contact Kim Small at Kim.Small@ucf.edu  or Jacqueline Sullivan Jacqueline.Sullivan@ucf.edu.
