UCF Registration Info – Spring 2018

Registration instructions for students from USF or FIU taking courses at UCF in Spring 2018

  1. Registration by USF and FIU students for courses offered at UCF in Spring 2018 begins on Friday, January 5, 2018 3:00 PM. Spring classes at UCF begin on Monday, January 8, 2018.
  1. Information about the three courses offered by UCF in Spring 2018 can be found on the TEAm webpage  https://www.csit-team.org/offered-courses-spring-2018/.
  1. Select the course that you would like to take and make sure that you have the prerequisites for this course.
  1. Complete and submit the Transient Student Application through Florida Shines https://www.floridashines.org/Fill and submit the transient student application form by visiting https://www.flvc.org/succeed-in-school/take-a-course-at-another-schoolYour application will be processed by the UCF Registrar Office.
  1. Reserve a seat in the course you are interested in taking via the appropriate Reserve Seat link provided in the TEAm webpage.  Reserving a seat will allow the administrators/staff at UCF to help you enroll in the course you selected and communicate with you by email to give specific instructions or get further information.
  1. You will be allowed to obtain a UCF Network Identification Number (NID) and Password to enroll through the myUCF portal at http://my.ucf.edu.  On first login to myUCF, click the “What is my NID?” link. Follow the instructions to obtain your NID and update your Password.
  1. All transient and non-degree seeking students register at 3:00 PM the Friday before the term begins. If you have reserved a seat via the TEAm website and demonstrated you have the prerequisites for the course, the UCF staff will be able to help you enroll in the course and/or get you permit to register in the course if your are unable to register or get error message that says, “Prerequisites not met.”
  1. Payment for the course must be made online or submitted to the UCF Cashier’s Office by 5:00 p.m. by the Payment Deadline which is Friday, January 19, 2018.  Please pay the course fee by this deadline to avoid paying a $100 Late Payment Fee and avoid being dropped from the course.
  1. Financial Aid Offices at USF and FIU are aware of the TEAm courses. Financial aid should work as normal for the selected TEAm courses with the exception that students must pay upfront and get reimbursed later. If you have questions regarding financial aid, please contact the Financial Aid Services office at your home institution.
